Our first reveals from Set 3 are here! Featured in the "Ruler Exchange Meeting" side event to the online "Velma Cup", and then shown off in this official tweet, these 2 promo cards are previews of cards that will be printed in the 3rd Booster Pack, tentatively named "Fierce Battle in the Sky". How the promo versions will be distributed in Japan will be announced at a later date.The 1st of them is the Volnar event, Shield Wall. Up until now, Volnar's options for direct damage protection have been cards that take up CNT slots like Absolute Zero Field and Sharsana's Divine Shield or partial damage reduction like Flying Shield. With this, Volnar gets a tool that has been exclusive to Wonderverse up until now, a level 0, non-CNT full direct damage shield!
The 2nd preview card is a new Field card for Yomajin Front, and following up on the floodgate and specific counter effects we previously saw the faction get on units during Set 2 (such as The Three Godmothers and Shizukuhime, Wetland Mermaid) we have a new, very powerful floodgate effect on the faction. To boot, its a field card, making it much trickier to get rid of than The Three Godmothers, and it even has a bonus revival effect that while less efficient than Tractor Beam, gives the card a use in match-ups where its not effective or when its CNT results in you getting multiple copies on the field.Many of the currently most powerful cards in the game currently involve non-healing movement from the damage zone, such as Flying Spaghetti Monster, Schrödinger's Cat and Normandy Joint Military Exercises, so this Field card has the potential to put a dent in their power and shake up the metagame.
