The Japanese official website has released a new article, detailing when Set 3's new release date will be and outlining the event plans for the Summer.
For us English players, the big piece of information is everything regarding Booster Pack 3. Its unlikely that we'll suffer a similar delay, since the English translations are done concurrently with the Japanese development, but a push back to Fall for the Japanese version means that we will be approaching a simultaneous release. At the very least, it will reduce the gap between the versions to 2 months at most, and in the best case scenario, both will be releasing simultaneously going forward.
Today we will be announcing out future plans for Gate Ruler.
In this announcement, we will detail a roadmap in chronological order for the next few months.
Each individual announcement will be announced individually in detail at a later date.

★ 1000 yen Purchase Campaign begins
At card shops and online stores nationwide that carry Gate Ruler, the promotional cards Shield Wall and The Floating Lantern Festival will be distributed for each 1000 yen spent on Gate Ruler-related product.
June 2021
Early June ★ Official Circle 2nd Recruitment & Additional Promo Distribution
We will distribute a new promo card "Super Very Bad" (High Rarity Pack 4-star foiling and card frame) for Official Circles.
In addition, we will be doing a 2nd wave of recruitment for Official Circles, and at the same time we will be sending the image file for a poster for recruiting Circle members. If you run an Official Circle, you will be able to download and use it freely.
June 6th ★ Official Discord Tournament: 3rd "Velma Cup" & "Ruler Exchange Meeting"
We will be holding the popular "Velma Cup" for the 3rd time.
In addition, you will be able to participate in the "Ruler Exchange Meeting" which will be at the same time at your leisure. Just like last time, the official staff will be participating in the Gunslinger and will be using unreleased cards from the next set.
We will continue to hold discord tournaments at regular intervals. We will also make a tutorial video on how to participate, so if you are inexperienced in online battles please watch it.
Mid-June ★ New illustrations and character settings from the 3rd booster set will be released every week!
Starting in June, we will be releasing new art from the 3rd set of Gate Ruler every week. We will also be giving a rough idea of the character setting and the card effects.
The art here is "Captain Zombie" (Illustrated by 日暮 央).
Setting: A former police officer who was infected by the zombie virus during an undercover investigation into Newtech. However, miraculously, he had antibodies which prevented him from losing his sense of self, and became the dark hero "Captain Zombie". Looking over New York, which has been consumed by the Zombie Apocalypse, he mutters, "Those Newtech guys...they're more rotten than my brain."
For its effect, we are planning a powerful one that will make it a central unit of Military and Zombie decks. As you'd expect from a Zombie, it has a self-revival effect.
Mid-June ★ Gate Ruler solo play rules announced
We will be introducing rules and decks for Solo Play using the 1st and 2nd booster packs.
The scenario is "Destroy the Exvader's Dimensional Fault", Level 1 to Level ?. There are many decks. How many Dimensional Faults can your deck defeat?

★ Regarding the Release Date of the 3rd Booster Pack
We sincerely apologize to our players, shops, and distributors for the inconvenience caused by the inadequate product information and content of the 2nd Set's Starter Decks.
It is not acceptable to repeat the same mistakes in the 3rd booster pack, so after reviewing our development process, we decided to remake the 3rd booster pack.
We also plan to update the card syntax to improve visibility and make Gate Ruler a game where you can more intuitively understand effects.
The rules will not be changing drastically, and you will still be able to play with your old cards.
For the sake of properly reviewing this development and improving the quality of the product, the 3rd Booster Pack is now scheduled for the Fall. Please wait for a follow-up report, including the product information for distribution companies.
There will be a longer gap between releases than usual, but during that time we will release promo packs to give early prints to select cards from the 3rd Booster Pack, including the new Rulers.

★ Notice of Gate Ruler Grand Prix Postponement
The "Gate Ruler Grand Prix 2021" was originally scheduled to be held starting in June 2021, but due to the current status of COVID-19 in Japan, in order to ensure the safety of our players and shops, we concluded we'd have to give up on running the Grand Prix this year.
We will be looking to host the event in 2022. We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it, but we would appreciate if you could wait for future announcements.
★ The 2nd Mini Grand Prix begins!
The 2nd Mini Grand Prix will be held at various stores.
The participation fee will now be 1000 yen, and the participation prize will become "ZAPZAPZAP!" (promo version).
After the previous Grand Prix, we reviewed the participation fee and prize since the number of participating stores was larger than anticipated and it was well received. (All participation fees are for the shop's profit, who must take additional measures to protect players from COVID-19)
In addition, we will include the promo version of "Alice, Wonderland Avenger" as the Winner prize and Best Player prize, which was originally going to be the Regional Winner prize for the Grand Prix.
Its a rare card that had few produced.
The list of stores will be announced in mid-June, and stores will be added to the list continually after that. It will be held until the end of August.

Starter Deck 3 contained both the Apprentice and Knight Rulers, and product info said it could be used with both, but the deck had a level limit of 52, making it illegal to use with Apprentice. Meanwhile, despite statements during Set 1 saying you only needed 2 copies of each Starter Deck to complete playsets, Starter Deck 4 only contained 1 copy of the non-Legend card "Golden Sword".
A promo distribution has begun since to address these issues, which hopefully will be applied to the English version from the start to avoid a repeat of the same mistake.
