NewsAugust 22nd's daily reveal is a retrain of the popular Set 1 unit, Yobuko of the Midnight Watch. This is also the 1st non-Superior Rare with a DR ability. While it was always very likely cards of any rarity could get DR abilities , this Yobuko confirms that the ability isn't exclusive to Superior Rares. Opinion
An incredibly powerful Enhance unit for the Supernatural archetype, which specializes at flooding board with lower level units, making this Enhance pretty easy to pay. As a reward, you get powerful offensive and defensive mix, carrying both Breakthrough to punch through the defense zone, and Defender & Charge Shield to block multiple swings.
With just that, Yobuko is already pretty comparable to Four Future Folks, but ends up getting a further bonus in a DR ability. Its an expensive one, but with the current landscape of not having a good idea of how many DR abilities will be running around, competing for the same resource, it looks pretty nice. Regardless of how many DR abilities we get, its hard to see a bonus ability to remove any pesky level 3 unit on a level 1 unit as anything but a plus.
One last note is that while Supernatural is largely a Drive ruler attribute, Supernatural is a very diverse attribute with many cards that see play in Hand rulers, so a unit with this many good qualities with no reliance on Drive mechanics is one I wouldn't be surprised to see finding play in Hand rulers on occasion.
