OpinionStrange Machine, Black Antler is an interesting card, but not necessarily an incredible one. While its ability when attacked by units is powerful, especially combined with the level modulation of Maxwell's Demon. However, without additional protection, Antler just baits a Ruler attack, as the only Ruler too weak to clear it is 23. W - Wizard.
On the other hand, the level modulation from Maxwell's Demon has tons of potential with existing cards. Volnar has tons of level based removal like Mysterion of White Fog, Dragostrike, and Isk Haan (War God's Blow); Wonderverse has unit stealing cards like Heddie Headhunter, Syndicate Recruiter and Brainwasher Blast Level 99! that benefits from this; and beyond that there's Draconoid Dreadnaught "Naru-ikazuchi" and the many recent cards with "Giant Killing" that would now be able to hit Level 4s!
