Flavor Text: His body and mind are always filled with heat. Card Name & Setting by Harada Shunta.

Legend cards have a Legend icon above their stats, and are powerful cards that are limited to 1 per deck from the beginning. (The limit on the number of different Legends depends on the Ruler)

The left is the normal version and the right is the Uber version. The Uber shines like iron.

1 Legend Rare will be included in each box, and 1 will be included in a separate package as a box topper. In other words, if you buy a sealed box, you will get 2 Legend Rares.

Regarding the pullrate, it seems likely this box topper is the result of the adjustment of pullrates that was done as a result of feedback at the Distributor & Retailer Briefing Session, as was covered in our previous article. If that's the case, the pullrate will probably be probably adjusted in the actual packs in later sets.

Also, looking at Magvarius, we can estimate the number of Legend cards in the 1st Booster Pack. From looking at Yomajin Front card collection numbers (which you can look at in our Revealed Cards article) cards seem to be numbered based on rarity. Given that Legend Rares are the highest rarity, Magvarius is 001, and Albafort is 003, there are probably 2 Legend Rares in at least Volnar, and probably in every faction. With that, we'd get 10 Legend Rares total, and more than 2 of each Legend Rare in a box.

Magvarius has previously been stated to destroy cards based on how much damage you've taken, though based on what we can see of this effect, it seems to be limited to Units and probably can't clear your opponent's sets as well.

Lastly, the 5th rarity star seems to not exist anymore. If the 5 star rarity was always for Legend Rare, it was probably felt that it was redundant when the L icon is also there, so it was probably removed for that reason.

The Familia keyword is one we've seen mentioned before, mentioned to allow a card to treat itself as any attribute for the purposes of special summons.

As for Busterkong, its statline is very notable. Its incredibly low from what we've seen from Level 3s. When Ikeda talked about Busterkong, he said it had a very powerful effect that was balanced by its low HP, which definitely seems accurate. The only Level 3 we've seen with a statline nearly that low is Honoikazuchi with 5/4/2 with its pretty solid repeatable removal effect, on what is the lowest rarity.

Also its [CNT] effect is almost certainly to use its [TD] effect, the color of the keyword gives it away through the blur.

    Gate Ruler sleeve preoduction announcement!
Besides the standard card back sleeve...The popular illustration Gashadokuro will also be made into a sleeve!

Regarding the sleeve for Magvarius, I would like to make sleeves that are 60 pieces for 3500 yen (about $33 USD).

"Sleeves for 3500 yen?! What is he thinking?" is what many will think now, but when you see the real thing, I think what we are planning will make you think "This is expensive but I'm convinced..."

Q: How fast is the power creep of Gate Ruler? Its a problem when the power creep is fast.

A: I also do not like TCGs that power creep quickly and have too fast of a release pace. As long as I'm the one making it, I want to make it a game that can be enjoyed slowly to some extent.

When a working person decides to play for the first time in a few months, if there is too much new information, they might quit. I think that's natural.

For the time being, Gate Ruler is thinking of releasing the 2nd Booster Pack 2.5-3 months after the 1st Booster Pack. In the meantime, if you say "I'm free", I will make it possible to download images of several types of cards from the next booster pack in a PDF from the official site. Then, the environment will change a little, you can enjoy the new environment and your opportunity for the next environment will increase.

I also want to slow the speed of power creep, but since the sense of that speed is subjective and there is no speed meter, the feeling of whether the power creep is slow or fast will differ from person to person. However, I want to make sure to avoid the terrible situation where "when the new booster pack releases, the cards from the last booster pack or from half a year ago are smallfry." There are many ways to rescue older cards.

Q: I heard that its a luck-based game, is that true?

A: I've said this many times, but everything changes with the Ruler. If you decide that its just what you're immediately seeing, you'll be misled.

For example, if there is a Ruler that removes the elements of luck for not just you but also your opponent, if you use this Ruler, you can say that its not a luck-based game. Those who don't like luck-based games should use such a Ruler. However, even if such a Ruler were made, "whether it is interesting as a game" is the big question. If you don't like luck based games or games with low competitiveness, you should play games like Go or Shogi, but for some reason you are obsessed with TCG.

I think TCGs are interesting because they have that proper element of luck.

[quote]Can TCGs really become a "thinking competition"? To what level is needed to become a proper competition? As a TCG lover, I think I have to talk about this live once, about the fundamental issues that people are not aware of, and how to solve them.

For those who don't know, the Dimension Zero TCG was created as a purely competitive TCG with prize money. It was a TCG where you absolutely couldn't win without being stronger. (That was great)

The 1st booster pack sold very well, with people saying "I'm good at Yu-Gi-Oh! so I can win the prize money", but many who said that were knocked down, and as a result, the sales dropped sharply from the 2nd booster pack onwards.

Dimension Zero was a game where you could understand why you lost and where you made a mistake, so you were always reminded of your weakness. Many players realized they were "helped by luck". There were many players whose pride was shattered, but on 2chan at that time the excuses of those who lost were responded to with things like "Its not that Dimension Zero is bad. You are just weak" and "Losers". There was no mercy.

I know this history. It is ridiculous to repeat. Its human wisdom to learn from history.
Dimension Zero was a great and necessary failure that was the result of listening to players who said "I hate luck-based games!".

We would like to hold the 1st Grand Prix 2 weeks after Gate Ruler's launch. I also want to hold the "1st Shadow Box GP" at that venue. Of course, the download card data will also be made available. I think the shadow box is a fine art.
